Why is the new revenue administration survey referred to as ISORA?
ISORA stands for International Survey on Revenue Administration. It is a multi-organization survey to collect national-level information and data on tax and customs administration. It does this through the operation of two distinct modules, one for tax operations and one for customs operations.
CIAT, IMF, IOTA, and OECD, all of whom have been collecting tax administration information from their members on a regular basis, have agreed to collect the new tax administration survey information using the tax module of ISORA.
IMF and the World Customs Organization (WCO) are currently working on the customs module of ISORA.
